This is a very nice campground. It is a work in progress. They have made great progress since last year. Owners live on site and are readily available. They are going to enclose the Pavilion next year. Camped here with a Good Sam's Club and while there we voted to go back next year. I would like for them to add permanent fire rings at each site. If you want a fire they will bring you a portable one. Very nice and quiet.
We camped here with 8 other units and even though the entrance isn't the greatest. I still rated it a 10. The ownership has put a lot of time and money into this campground and it shows. I wish that others could take lessons from the management on Customer Service as it was outstanding. Will we be back? "You Bet".
Camped here a year ago and since then it seems that the campground has gone downhill some. There was a definite problem with the septic system as there was sewage leaking from the field line, and there was an odor when the wind was blowing west to east. The staff was great, and otherwise our club had a great time.
Camped here with local Good Sam's Club for 3 nights, This park continues to impress me. They are upgrading it on a continuing basis. Reason for the 9 was it rained all weekend, not the parks fault. There were 200 scouts camping out in the cave and they did not bother anyone. We will camp here again.
I, too, would rate it a 10 except for the entrance. We were lucky enough not to have traffic in the left lane so that we could swing out a little. Stay was very pleasent. Camped with 9 units from Good Sam's Club.
It is obvious that someone has been spending some money and labor on the campground. We went there a year ago and it was not what we wanted as a place to camp. Our Good Sam's Club went there last weekend and it has undergone a huge transformation. Sites were level, attitudes in office were very helpful. We met the owner over the weekend (didn't know it until today) We will go back and can recommend it highly. Area is beautiful.
Camped here with 2 good Sam's clubs. 3 nights. Campgrounds were neat, clean and well managed. Office staff was great, check-in was quick. Site was level, large, and comfortable. The drag strip that is near runs on Saturday night, but shuts down at 11. This strip gives out 12 scholarships a year to deserving high school seniors, so I can put up with a little noise. We stayed here for a week in Oct., and I will do it again next year.
We camped here with the local Good Sam's club "Sam's Dixie Travelers". It was pouring down when we arrived but from the welcome that we received you would have thought that it was nothing but sunshine outside. The staff were great the site that we had #21 was great and the view was super. While there the club had a vote on the campgrounds that we will go to next year and this one was selected again. Watched the TN vs FL game on cable. The only negative was the WiFi was not strong enough at this site. Took the laptop to the pavilion and it worked great. Watched the gliders sail over the mountains. What a site. They do not charge for WiFi anymore.
Everything from the check in to the Sausage and pancake breakfast was great. Sites are huge, mountains around you with apple trees for you to pick. Cherohola skyway at your back door with beautiful sites. Trout fishing just a few miles away.
Got a senior discount. Restrooms and showers looked clean but need to be updated. You can stay 2 weeks, sites are tight but accessable. You have to watch where you park so that you can use your slideout and awning.
